Clash downloads:
Choose a client by platform

Check your device’s architecture before choosing an installer.

Use a graphical client on desktop and mobile devices, and the Mihomo core on servers and routers. Find installers organized by platform below, with maintenance status noted for archived clients.

Clash clients and the Mihomo core

Buttons show the file format and architecture. Version details appear on cards when available; choose files based on the actual installer.

Windows downloads

Most Intel and AMD PCs should use the x64 installer. Quit any running proxy client before installing and launching another one to avoid both apps controlling the system proxy or using the same port.

Clash Plus

Top pick

A good choice for first-time setup and everyday use. Start with a graphical client to import a subscription, choose a proxy mode, and configure the system proxy. It’s easier to check the status than with a command-line core. After installation, select a configuration and check that a proxy group has an available outbound.

clashplus.io

Clash Verge Rev

Desktop configuration management

For desktop users who want to manage subscriptions, rules, and TUN settings. First test the connection with the system proxy, then enable service mode or TUN only if needed. These options use different permissions and routing, so avoid changing everything at once when troubleshooting.

FlClash

Cross-platform interface

For users who want a similar experience on desktop and mobile. Compatible subscription configurations may carry over, but check keyboard shortcuts, system proxy settings, and startup options on each device. Similar interfaces don’t mean the operating systems handle permissions the same way.

Clash Nyanpasu

Desktop client

An alternative desktop interface for users familiar with configuration files and proxy groups. After importing a configuration, check that it loads successfully. If a field isn’t recognized, check whether the core supports it instead of repeatedly reinstalling the same app.

Clash for Windows

No longer maintained

Kept for reproducing older setups, migrating configurations, and comparing interfaces. For new installations, choose a client above that’s still maintained. The archived core has limited support for newer protocols and fields. If a configuration fails to parse, check compatibility first; updating the subscription alone may not help.

Windows requirements

CheckWhat to check
System and architectureThis section offers common x64 desktop installers. Go to Settings → System → About to check your system type. On Windows on ARM devices, also verify app compatibility.
Windows versionUse a Windows version that’s still supported where possible. Minimum version requirements vary by client; check the installer prompt and release notes for the client you’re installing.
Runtime dependenciesClients built with WebView may require WebView2. If the window is blank or the app crashes on startup, record the error and check the runtime dependencies before deleting your configuration.
Permissions and traffic routingThe system proxy and TUN have different permission requirements. Before enabling TUN, check whether you need administrator access or service mode, and quit any other client before testing.

Check installation and connection separately

Configuration steps after installation

First make sure the client starts, then import a configuration. Don’t treat installation, subscription, and connection failures as the same issue: they happen at different stages and require different troubleshooting steps.

  1. Keep your old configurationBack up subscription details, custom rules, and overrides before updating or switching clients. Don’t mix data directories between apps.
  2. Import and select a configurationAfter importing, make sure the new configuration is selected. If parsing fails, note the field name and check the format and core compatibility.
  3. Test the connection step by stepStart with rule mode and the system proxy, then check the logs. Once the connection works, consider enabling TUN, startup launch, or background services.

Clash download FAQs

Choosing, installing, and updating

Which Clash client should I choose for my first download?

For Windows, macOS, Android, and iOS, start with Clash Plus for your platform. For Linux, consider Clash Verge Rev. Choose a client card if you need a graphical interface; Mihomo is a command-line core, not a desktop installer.

Which should I choose: ARM64, x64, or universal?

Check your device’s processor and operating system architecture in system settings, then match them to the download button. Windows x64 is for most 64-bit Intel and AMD devices. Android arm64-v8a is for devices that support 64-bit ARM apps. If you’re unsure of your Android architecture, try the universal build, which is usually larger. Mac download buttons show the architecture of the available installer; don’t infer the file contents from the processor name alone.

Why can’t I connect after installing?

Installing the client doesn’t set up a proxy configuration. Import a valid configuration from the subscription or configuration page, select it, then check the rule mode, proxy groups, and system proxy settings. You’ll need to obtain a subscription separately. Don’t post subscription links in public comments or screenshots.

What if the installer won’t open or says it’s incompatible?

Make sure the download is complete and the file extension is correct, then check your OS version and processor architecture. If a Windows desktop client won’t start, check its runtime dependencies. On macOS, verify the app’s source using the system’s security prompts; don’t disable security protections across the board. If the problem persists, note the full error and follow the Troubleshooting guide.

What should I keep before updating a client?

Export or back up your current configuration, custom rules, overrides, and any client settings you need. Then quit the old client and install the update. When switching clients, use a standard YAML configuration where possible; don’t overwrite the entire application data directory.

Should I still install Clash for Windows or ClashX Meta?

Both clients are no longer maintained. Their download links remain available for migrating older setups and checking compatibility. For new devices, choose a client that’s still maintained. Older cores may not support newer protocols or configuration fields; if parsing fails, check core compatibility first.
